Kay Boyce: About The Artist

Kay was born in Sheffield and studied illustration at college for four years. She has since worked as a Freelance Illustrator for seven years, producing editorial work for Woman's Weekly, Bella, My Weekly, the Sunday Express, Womans Own and Fiesta Magazine.

Her illustration work has carried her through to major book publishers such as Hodder and Saaughton, Wordsworth Romantic, Mills and Boon, and Mandarin. During this seven year period she has been producing Fine Art Paintings and Drawings that have been sold at various galleries and exhibitions around the United Kingdom, including the AOI Gallery in London, the Barbican Center in London, and the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester.

Fine art printers Solomon and Whitehead have published my work as limited edition print, which have been distributed widely throughout the UK.

Kay recently completed a project for RADA's new brochure, through one of the top agents in London, which included 23 portraits of famous actors and actresses including Sir Anthony Hopkins, John Thaw, Alan Bates, Sir John Guilgood, Diana Rigg and Dame Flora Robson to name a few. The finished artwork was assessed and approved by Sir Richard Attenborough.

Since Rowles Fine Art have been exhibiting her work, she has had great success both in the Gallery and at fairs, and continues to make full use of her natural talent.
